É a evidência. "CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION", essa nova e inteligente série dramática, é centrada na investigação da cena do crime, especialmente para o grupo forense do departamento de criminalística da polícia de Las Vegas.
Analisando de uma maneira cruel e verdadeira cada detalhe das cenas dos crimes, não importa o quanto seja irrelevante ou grotesco, esses detetives tem a ciência e a experiência ao seu lado para a solução de crimes que pareciam ser insolúveis.O grupo do CSI consiste em uma equipe de investigadores pouco convencionais. Baseando-se em suas experiências e instintos, esse grupo enfrenta o terror da cidade. Gil Grissom (William L. Peterson) é o esperto forense; Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger) é a stripper convertida em investigadora; e o Capitão Jim Brass (Paul Guilfoyle) é um sábio e experiente policial que já viu quase tudo na rua durante os seus 22 anos de trabalho.
